
Originating as a recording project that fused folk songs with sampled beats, the band evolved into a small orchestra known for its high energy live performances featuring multi-instrumentalist swapping. Grandchildren is an electro-acoustic orchestral pop band from Philadelphia. This eclectic group is making a name for themselves with an extremely supportive fan base, inventive music videos, and true musicality mixed with a bit of whimsy. These European chart toppers are constantly being influenced by the changing musical landscape and note Daft Punk, Lionel Hampton, Justice, and Django Reinhardt as some of their musical influences. In 2011 Caravan Palace released an EP entitled Crash, which featured two new songs and four remixes of the new tracks. Their current release, Panic, boasts 3 hit singles and was release in March 2012. Their debut album, Caravan Palace, was released in 2008 and boasted a 68-week run on the French charts in the number 11 spot. The Parisian group who formed in 2005 is currently signed to La Café de la Dance/Wagram and have two albums to their credit.

Live Nation presents the french electro punk and gypsy jazz band Caravan Palace who will be coming to Philadelphia's Theater of the Arts and will be joined by Philadelphia's own orchestra pop band Grandchildren.Ĭaravan Palace current band line-up consists of Zoé Colotis (vocals and clarinet), Arnaud Vial (guitar), Hugues Payen (violin, vocals), Camille Chapelière (clarinet), Charles Delaporte (double bass, electronics) and Antoine Toustou (electronics and trombone).The band is embarking on their 2013 summer tour in support of their latest album Panic.
